Error message 'You do not have the user rights required for starting the program (Code 1)!'
This problem occurs with Virtual CD v8 under control of Virtual CD NMS.

If you deactivate e.g. the Quick Start Program in the Virtual CD NMS profile, the user gets the error message Code 1 on startup. Normally the Quick Start Program should not be executed at all.

This problem has been solved with Virtual CD 8.0.0.6. If you distributed Virtual CD with the Client Setup, please read the corresponding article.

In Virtual CD v9 this message may occur in the follwing cases:

  • During setup or in the client setup there only a few programs and functions allowed, among others the Virtual CD Sidebar and the function to start this program automatically. But on the start of Virtual CD the rights to start the Sidebar are missing. This problem has been solved with Virtual CD 9.2.0.1.
  • In Virtual CD 9.0.0.2 this problem may occur during the deinstallation of Virtual CD if it has been installed over a Client Setup which has all functions disabled. In this case you can ignore the message. Virtual CD will be removed correctly.
This problem has been solved with Virtual CD 9.1.
  • On installation of any Virtual CD Version 9.x there may occur such a problem as soon as you assign the usage of Virtual CD NMS. This is due to special settings in the assigned Virtual CD NMS profile (e.g. the start of the Toolbox is deactivated). This is by design as after finishing the installation, the Virtual CD Player (VC9Play.exe) is started and immediately receives the corresponding profile from Virtual CD NMS. In this case you should use a Client Setup which has the Toolbox deactivated!
