Error code 9 when burning in sound file mode
The sound file mode lets you burn audio files using a different program, such Windows Media Player or iTunes, rather than Virtual CD. Rather than burning an audio CD, this mechanism collects data in a special type of blank, converts it, and stores it in the form of sound files (e.g. MP3 files). This means you can generate sound files using any program that can burn an audio CD.

Problem: Virtual CD gives an error code 9 on burning in sound file mode.

Workaround: Please deactivate the Virtual CD setting "Automatically divide blank into multiple files" in the Burn section. This settings divides virtual CDs into 1.8 GB files which is not possible for the sound file mode.
Please also observe the information dialog behind the setting "Available space on blank" in the same section.
Additionally please delete the file CDRWAudio.vc$ which should be found in the folder with your virtual CDs.

This problem pertains to Virtual CD v10 up to version 10.1.0.5. The next update will intercept this special situation.

Please also be aware that audio CDs are restricted to 99 tracks according to the Red Book standard!

13.04.10, Hartmut Mäcker
