Error code 32 on insertion of a virtual CD into a physical drive
On insertion of a virtual CD into a physical drive you get the error "Error inserting/ejecting the virtual CD. Reason: Error code 32". Then the physical drive opens.
the reason for this particular problem is visible in the Virtual CD Diagnostics. The value for VCDAdapter is greater than 9.
Values greater than 9 differ in decimal and hexadecimal, e.g. 10 hexadecimal corresponds to 16 decimal.
This problem pertains to Virtual CD up to version 9.2.0.1.
A new service solves the problem: VC9SecS.exe
- Stop the "Virtual CD v9 Management Service" in the Computer Management -> Services.
- Rename the file VC9SecS.exe in C:\Program Files\Virtual CD v9\System and copy the new file into this directory.
- Restart the service.
